- AA4RE BBS and the G8BPQ Switch.
-
-
- The AA4RE BBS can now be used via the DEDHOST Driver. See file DEDHOST.DOC
- for full details of DEDHOST. The BBS must be configured as if you are using
- a DRSI card, but you shouldnt load TNCTSR. You must run BBSETTNC before BB.
- My testing was with AA4RE version 2.10, using parameters given below.
-
-
- In PARAM.BB:
-
- port
- port_type = PC*PA-0
- com = 255
- max_pac = 128
- speed = 4800
- max_connect = 8
- max_channel = 9
- max_pending = 3
- monitor = YES
- time_out = 180
- fwd_min = 15
- bbs_only = N
- remote_sysop = Y
- upload_download = Y
- broadcast = y ; sends mail beacon on all radio ports
- port_name = 144.650/432.675 NODE
- broadcast_path = MAIL ; is ignored - set in config.txt file
- monitor_color = 121
- no_out_fwd = N
- endport

- @BLANK LEAVE

- Startup File.
-
- The 4th parameter to DEDHOST is the buffer space allocated to DEDHOST. The
- value you need will depend on traffic, and you may need to experiment to
- find the optimum value for your installation. The mimimum is 8, and the
- maximum 60. The more space you allocate here, the less will be available to
- the BBS software.
-
- BPQCODE
- DEDHOST 9 1 1 32 255
- BBSETTNC
- BB
-
- If you are using DesqView, BPQCODE should be loaded before DV, and DEDHOST
- should be loaded in the AA4RE window.
